Terms of Service
Effective date: June 28, 2026
Welcome to Kaydo. These Terms of Service (the "Terms") govern your access to and use of the Kaydo website, applications, and related services (together, the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
1. Who we are
Kaydo is a private space for families to store, organize, and share their memories. References to "Kaydo", "we", "us", or "our" mean the operator of the Service.
References to "you" or "your" mean the person who uses the Service, or the family account holder who invites others to a shared family space.
2. Eligibility and accounts
You must be at least 16 years old, or the age of digital consent in your country, to create an account. Accounts for children may only be created and managed by a parent or legal guardian.
You are responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential and for all activity that takes place under your account. Please notify us promptly if you believe your account has been accessed without your authorization.
You agree to provide accurate information when registering and to keep it up to date.
3. Your content
You retain all ownership rights to the photos, videos, audio, recipes, journals, and other content you upload ("Your Content"). We do not claim ownership of Your Content.
You grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to host, store, back up, and display Your Content solely for the purpose of operating and providing the Service to you and the family members you choose to share it with.
You are responsible for ensuring that you have the right to upload Your Content and that it does not infringe the rights of others or violate any law.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to use the Service to upload or share content that is unlawful, harmful, threatening, abusive, harassing, defamatory, or that infringes the privacy or intellectual property rights of others.
You agree not to attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service, interfere with its normal operation, introduce malicious code, or use the Service to send unsolicited communications.
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or that put the safety of other users at risk.
5. Privacy and security
We take the privacy of your family seriously. Our handling of personal data is described in our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms.
We apply technical and organizational measures designed to protect Your Content, but no online service can guarantee absolute security. You are responsible for keeping your own copies of irreplaceable content where appropriate.
6. Availability and changes
We work hard to keep the Service available and reliable, but we provide it on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We may add, change, or remove features over time.
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you through the Service or by email. Continued use after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
7. Termination
You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. When you delete your account, we remove or anonymize Your Content in line with our Privacy Policy, except where we are legally required to retain certain information.
We may suspend or terminate your access if you materially breach these Terms.
8. Liability
To the extent permitted by applicable law, our liability for loss or damage arising from your use of the Service is limited to cases of intent and gross negligence. Statutory liability for injury to life, body, or health and under mandatory consumer-protection law remains unaffected.
Nothing in these Terms limits any rights you may have that cannot be lawfully limited.
9. Governing law and contact
These Terms are governed by the laws of the operator's country of establishment, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer-protection rules that apply where you live.
If you have questions about these Terms, please contact us using the details on our Contact page.
